To start their topic 'Hooray, Let's go on Holiday!' where children will be finding out all about holiday destinations, particularly developing their skills in Geography, Year 1 had an exciting day today going to the beach.
After they had their passports stamped, Year 1 flew off in their 'aeroplane' in the school hall, travelling to the beach. Once at the beach (in the quad) children enjoyed a range of holiday activities with their friends: playing ball games, skipping, sailing in the sea, sunbathing, reading books and building sandcastles. Before flying home they were able to share some summer stories with their teachers whilst enjoying ice pops.
Children then started the journey home, flying back just in time to get to assembly and share their exciting holiday with other children in Key Stage 1.
Holiday snaps will be uploaded soon!
