From Monday 7th September, all children will be expected to be in school full time and attendance will be tracked as normal.
If your child, or family, are asked to self-isolate because of contact with someone who has tested positive for coronavirus please let the school know - we will be able to feed this into our attendance data and it will not be used as evidence of non-attendance. Similarly, if we send a child home to self-isolate, this will not be an issue.
Shielding is set to be paused from August 1st. If you, or someone in your household, is asked to shield anytime from September please let the school know as soon as possible. Again, this will not be seen as an attendance issue.
It is vital that children who display any signs of coronavirus are tested quickly. With a negative test result, children will be able to return to school as soon as they feel well enough. Without a negative test result we will be asking children (and all members of their families) to self-isolate whilst they have symptoms and for at least 10 days for the child and 14 days for other household members (including siblings).
We will not be focusing on 100% attendance next year as it is vital that we all follow rules regarding self-isolation and coronavirus symptoms to keep the whole school community safe.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
