Last week we welcomed our new Nursery children into school. It was lovely to see them looking so smart in their new uniforms and coming in to school with smiles on their faces (for the most part).
Meanwhile for the rest of the school the holidays seems a distant past!
Year 1 went to the circus last week to launch their circus topic. With home made popcorn (which they had made in the morning, enjoying listening to the popping sounds) they were entertained by two familiar looking clowns.
Meanwhile Year 4 went on a visit around the local area to launch their topic 'Do you live round here?'.
We welcomed a new art teacher - Miss Radish - and new French teacher - Mrs Dolle to school last week. Miss Radish will be teaching Year 3 and 4 art, whilst Mrs Dolle will teach Years 3 - 6 French. We were also pleased to welcome back our music teachers from the local music service to teach Year 5 music - clarinets, trumpets and trombones will be on their way home soon.
Well done to 4B for having 99.3% attendance - not quiet the 100% but nearly there.
We have also launched our author of the moment. Newsletters will come home this week but we are all reading Roald Dahl books at the moment. Please share any pictures or Roald Dahl information on our new email address firstname.lastname@example.org We look forward to seeing and hearing about your Roald Dahl reading.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
