Whilst Reception children attended 'Superhero training camp' today, Year 4 went on a trip to the British Museum. As an exit point for the IPC topic Temples, Tombs and Treasures, Year 4 ended their topic about Ancient Egypt looking at the treasures stored in the British Museum. All staff were very impressed with the respect that children showed on their visit. Children were keen to look at the artefacts, comparing them with the ones that they had made at school. Adults were very impressed with the knowledge the children had gained and the enthusiasm with which they were sharing that knowledge.
The children all agreed that the Museum had helped them learn more and were keen to share the bits of the museum they enjoyed the most. Many talked about having seen the Rosetta stone.
Year 4 made us very proud with their respectful behaviour on their trip. Many earned golden certificates for demonstrating the golden rules. Well done!
