Parenting support

There is no such thing as a perfect parent and being a parent isn't always easy. We can put a lot of pressure on ourselves to live up to expectations, be they ours or those we perceive others to hold. You are the expert on your child but sometimes it can be difficult to know what to do when things aren't going well. The good news is, there is lots of help and advice out there. Sometimes this comes from other people we already know such as family, friends and neighbours or the parents and staff that we meet at school. Sometimes just talking to someone from outside of your household can help you clarify what you need to do; how good a job you are already doing; take some of the pressure off; find the support you need. As the PSA I am here for you to talk to and to provide individual support if you need it but I can also signpost or refer you to other types of support too. They include;
