We use the Read Write Inc. phonics scheme to teach phonics and early reading. This is taught daily in groups across Early Years and Key Stage 1. As Year 2 children graduate from the phonics scheme, they continue to practise reading and start following the Read Write Inc. Spelling programme.

We ask parents to continually support their child in learning to spell the words on the relevant year group spelling list.
