Keeping children safe, known as safeguarding, is the responsibility of everyone who comes into contact with children - particularly families and school staff.

All school staff have a responsibility to provide a safe environment for children to learn in, and a responsibility to identify children who may be in need of extra help or who are suffering significant harm.  Staff have a responsibility and a duty to follow safeguarding procedures and to report concerns to social services where appropriate.

The school has policies in place which help staff keep children safe, including online, and identify children who are at risk.  These can be found in the 'Key policies' section of the website 

If you have any concerns about a child's welfare please do not hesitate to contact the school.

Mrs Phillips is the designated lead for Child Protection with Mrs Adeleke, Mrs Crudgington and Miss Spooner as the deputy safeguarding leads.  If you do not feel comfortable reporting any concerns to one of these people, please make sure you pass on your concerns to another member of staff.
