Children receive 2 hours of PE a week, in the form of an indoor PE lesson and an outdoor PE lesson. Please see the parents' handbook for PE kit requirements. Additionally, TENERGY is used within daily lessons, to provide the children with an active brain break.
Years 3, 4 and 5 each go swimming at the local pool in Dagenham, every week for a term. Year 5 go in the Autumn term, followed by Year 4 in the Spring term and Year 3 in the Summer term.
At the swimming pool the children are taught, according to their swimming ability, in groups led by a swim coach employed by the borough.
We have a long, well established link with The Royal Ballet. The Royal Ballet come in once a week for half a term, usually in the Autumn term, to teach our Year 3 children ballet. From this children who are seen to have potential in ballet, are selected to have further lessons, provided free of charge by The Royal Ballet school, in order to develop their skills further.
