23.3.17 - London Youth Games
The girls' football team were selected to represent the borough in the annual London Youth Games at the National Sports Centre at Crystal Palace. On the site of the old palace itself, the team won their first group before drawing all their second round matches 0-0. They did not concede a goal all day and dominated every match. At six minutes per game, there wasn't much opportunity to score either!
Although they did not gain medals, they met England and Arsenal legend Rachel Yankey and had a great day. The girls finished in 9th place out of the thirty-two boroughs taking part.
