Maths
Today's maths is all about ordering money. Make up your own or ask an adult to give you different amounts in pounds and convert them to pence e.g £1.12 is 112p. When you have a few different amounts and feel confident, work out which one is the greatest amount.
Watch the video below before having a go at the worksheet.
If you are in a shop, or with an adult you could look online, look at different prices. Order your items from least to most expensive.
As usual, have a go at the flashback 4 and True or False questions.
English
Today we would like you to complete the two activities '10 things found in a Tree Goblin’s suitcase' and 'Poetry'. For the poetry activity, we would like you to spend some time learning the poem to perform. Think about what you need to make a good performance. Could you use actions to help you remember?
You could ask whoever you live with to be your audience or ask someone to record you performing.
Spelling
Today we are carrying on with homophones. First of all we would like you to make a list of all of the homophones you can think of. Then have a go at the warm up powerpoint. There are 3 worksheets for you to choose the correct homophone for the sentence. Which homophones were on your list?
To finish, we would like you to write our own sentences using the homophones you have seen today correctly.
Handwriting
Remember to warm up your hands and make sure you are sitting correctly for neat handwriting. Then have a go at the sheet below. When you have finished, write your own sentences using the words on the sheet.
Olympic Day
First of all, don't forget to have a go at the challenge set today for Virtual Sports Week.
The 23rd June 2020 is Olympic Day. Unfortunately, the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, which was meant to be held this summer, has been rescheduled for next year.
We would like you to do some research about the Olympics Games to create a fact file or poster.
Some things you may want to find out about.
Below are some resources for you to have a look at as a starting point. You may want to do more research on the internet but always ask an adult first.
We would also like you to spend some time researching some Olympians and Paralympians; how they got to where they are, the medals they have won, their training etc. They may be athletes from a sport or country you are interested in or could just be ones you have heard of. All of these athletes show great amounts of determination to get where they are and have really inspiring stories.
Some famous Olympians and Paralympians include:
