Today we will talk about the things that stop us being brave and what we can do to address those barriers. We will start by listening to Mr Wade telling the story of 'Little Monkey'. What stops Little Monkey being brave in the story? What does he do about it?
We will then talk about what stops us being brave - our fears and our worries.
We will talk about what we can do when we are scared and worried and identify people we can talk to. We will also make worry dolls that we can carry with us to share our worries.
We are then going to set ourselves our bravery challenge for the week. This might be trying something new, sharing a fear or worry with someone, setting ourselves a challenge to learn something new...children can be creative as they can with their bravery challenge (remembering that being brave does not mean doing something risky where they, or someone else, can get hurt).
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
