We've really been enjoying our music lessons in year 5! Last week, we learnt about what musical notes look like. This is our lesson where we were learning about crotchets and quavers.
In maths, we've been learning about place value. We use place value headings like 10, 100, 1000. These help us do sums and see which numbers are bigger or smaller than others.
A number is made of one or more digits. The number 6379, for example, is made of the digits 6, 3, 7 and 9.
6 thousands, 3 hundreds, 7 tens and 9 ones.
We challenged our partners to a game where we were competing to see who was the fastest to place numbers we rolled on a dice in the correct place value column.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
