Maths

Today for maths we would like you to have a go at the arithmetic questions below. When you have finished, mark your answers from the sheet at the end. If you got any wrong, look back to see if you can work out your mistakes. You can ask on the blog if there is still something you are finding difficult and we can try and help you as best we can. 

We would also like you to spend some time to day playing on Times Tables Rockstars. Can you improve your rock score or challenge someone to a rockslam?

English

Remind yourself of what a preposition is. Look around the room you are in and have a go at describing where things are using prepositions. Now we would like you to complete the preposition game on pages 14 and 15. Share your work on the blog. 

Handwriting

Today we will be revising the join 'qu'. When you are set up for the perfect handwriting, spend some time practicing the join. Then write the 'qu' words to complete the sentences. You can either print the sheet off to write them in or write out the whole sentences. What other words can you think of that use the 'qu' join and write them in sentences. Could you write a short story using as many of there words as possible?

Topic

Today is the final day of children's art week. We would like you to do some research about different artists. What artists do you know already? Below are some suggestions and some background information about the artists but there are many, many more!

Then we would like you to create a piece of your own art based on their style. If you are interested in more than one artist, you could do more than one or even a mixture of styles. Be creative!
