Spring
The Farm Visit
During the farm visit, we fed the animals, we touched and held the animals. There were fluffy rabbits, Guinea pigs, goats, sheep, ducks and polish chickens.
World Book Day
During World Book Day parents/carers and children spent the morning sharing books.
Pirate Day
During Pirate Day we dressed up as pirates and went on a treasure hunt to find gold coins. Aarrrhh. Shiver me timbers!
The Gingerbread Man
We made Gingerbread men by following a recipe. We had to make sure we washed our hands first then took turns to add the ingredients in the bowl. After it turned into a doughy mixture, we each had a small amount which we rolled out and used a cookie cutter to create our Gingerbread man.
Autumn
P.E.
Please ensure your child has a named P.E. kit in school as we have P.E. sessions on a Monday.
Please ensure your child has a pair of named wellington boots in school as we will go into the Outdoor Classroom in all weather conditions.
Maths
We use Numicon shapes to help us follow pictures and recognise number patterns.
Phonics
We use different mark making tools to practise our letters.
Outdoor Classroom
We are exploring with many activities such as cycling, climbing, building a house or going to California in our boat.
Gardening
This autumn Mac, our gardener, is teaching the children how to grow various vegetables. So far we have planted radishes but not just ordinary radishes! These radishes will grow as purple, orange and white & red radishes. After they have grown, the children will be able to taste them.
