Using maps of the school, the children located 14 poppies that were hidden and gave them a grid reference. They also read facts and collected letters to solve an anagram. Following this, we shared all of the vocabulary we could think of linked to this. The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
Sophia kindly brought in her magnifying glass from home so we could all have a closer look at different items. The children were very eager and interested to take a look so thank you Sophia.
At home, Titas created his own battery powered car which he brought in to share with us. We enjoyed watching it travel and were very impressed with his creativity.
Using instructions, the children made some home-made Oreo ice-cream, which they were able to taste once it was frozen.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
