**New Information** 

Hello 2C

I have started a new blog on Purple Mash so that we can communicate. You can talk to me on there and ask me any questions about work or anything you are finding difficult. 

To see the blog you need to log into Purple Mash - using your log in details (in your reading record). To find the blog you need to click on Sharing > shared blogs > then 2C Class blog. 

I will also set you work to do on here to do.

Please bring in your PE kits - our PE days are Monday and Wednesday.

Reading Records and books have been sent out to all children in our class so please make sure you are reading at home at least 5 times a week and signing your child's record so that they can get a sticker on our Reading Rocket.

World Book Day 2020

We recently had a visit from the 'Road Safety' team.

Times Table Rockstars, Numbots and Purple Mash

All children have now been given a log in for Times Table Rockstars. The log in for Numbots is the same username and password used for TTR. Please practise these at home on any electronic devices.

I'll look forward to seeing who has been practising!

Current learning

Maths - In maths we have been learning the 2, 5 and 10 times tables. We have learnt some new mathematical language and shown our Godwin Values by 'Working Together'

English - In English we have been learning about Kennings Poems - the children have written their own Kennings poems for display. 

PE - In PE we are being Gymnasts - we are learning to move our bodies in different ways and balance. 

PSHE - In PSHE we have been talking about looking after our bodies and how we can take care of ourselves. What can you do to take care of your body?

Science - In science we have been learning all about the seven life processes.

RE - In RE we are talking about fairness and why its important to be fair to others.

Spelling - In spelling we are learning the Year 2 Common Exception Words - these are very important words that the children must be able to spell by the end of Year 2. You can find these further down the page.

Art - In Art we have been learning all about Pablo Picasso. The children know lots of different interesting fact about him so please ask them to share these with you at home.

The children have become artist and have started to learn new techniques and develop their painting skills.
