Day 5: Big Write- Pick one of the ideas to do a longer piece of writing. Try to use some of the punctuation and grammar ideas you have been working on throughout the week. Remember to save some of your work to show Miss Henry!
Week 2
Before we all left school Year 3 were looking at Non-Chronological Reports, we came up with the success criteria
Your job this week will be to watch the provided video and work on a non-chronological report about a country of your choice.
Day 1: Research a country you are interested in around the world and copy out facts and technical language.
Day 2: Divide your research into 3 subheadings. For example- food, things to do, famous landmarks, or language.
Day 3: Write 2 paragraphs about the subheadings you have chosen. Remember to try and use subordinating conjunctions to extend your sentences (because, so that, while, when, which).
Day 4: Write the final paragraph for your non-chronological report and proofread your work. Ensure you use the success criteria to check you have everything you need to be successful.
Day 5: Turn your work into your very own Non-Fiction Book! Don't forget to include pictures and captions! I would love to share these and put them in the book corner when we return to school! Have fun!

There are many interesting activities to complete around these pictures such as roleplay, poetry, story and interview writing to help strengthen your imaginations and writing skills during this time.
