Handwriting is an important part of your child's development in English. Forming letters that are of the correct direction and size is a requirement of the National Curriculum. All letters of the alphabet belong to a 'Letter Family'. Below are the four 'families'. You can use this to help your child practise at home.
The National Curriculum also requires all children to know how to spell all of the Year 1 and 2 Common Exception Words by the end of Year 2. Please support your child by practising at home.
