Maths
Today we are looking at horizontal and vertical lines. Have a think about what things need to be horizontonal and what needs to be vertical? Have a look around the room you are in to help you. Watch the video below and complete the sheet. Remember to also complete the flashback 4 and True or False questions.
English
Today we would like you to recap the story and then have a go at the reading quiz on page 9. Then, complete the odd one out activity on page 10. Try to explain as fully as you can.
Share on the blog how you get on.
Handwriting
We would like you to think about the joins to and from the prefixes 're' and 'pre'. Complete the word sums on the sheet and then think of your own words using these prefixes. Write the words out neatly and then write them in sentences.
Art
Carrying on with Children's art week, we will be looking at pattern landscape today. Look at the pictures below for some inspiration. What is a pattern? A pattern is a repetitive decorate design. Spend some time doodling and practicing different patterns.
Next think about a landscape you could draw. It could be somewhere you can see such as your garden or house or maybe somewhere you have a seen a picture of or visited like a beach, hilly area or even a forest.
Next you need to lightly sketch your design. Make sure it is big and uses the whole piece of paper. Don't press too hard. You don't need to add detail, it just needs to be a rough outline.
When you are happy with your sketch, you need to think about the patterns and colours you will use. Are you going to use the same colours as in the landscape or choose bolder, brighter colours?
You may also want to use a black pen to draw the bold outline.
