World Book Day
The staff, children and their adults were invited to wear pyjamas to school on this day to emphasise the importance of sharing bedtime stories.
Using lots of bean bags and cushions, we created a 'bedtime' environment in the Key Stage 1 hall for the children and their adults to enjoy. Check out some of the photos below:
During World Book Day we learnt all about the life of Ella Fitzgerald and her love for music. We looked at vinyl's and made our own vinyl covers. We experimented with different instruments and created a poem based on Ella Fitzgerald's life. We were very lucky to have Gracie's dad Tony join us, we looked at the different instruments he brought in, the different sounds they made and how they are played. Tony then created a melody to accompany our poem.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
