Creating a sculpture influenced by Andy Goldsworthy
We will take a trip to the local park to gather some natural resources. We will then discuss Andy Goldsworthy's art work and what materials he used to create them. The children will learn different techniques on how to manipulate clay such as rolling, pinching, kneading and making it into a slab. They will then be given time to create their own sculpture inspired by Andy Goldsworthy. They will use clay and the natural materials collected to do this and then take a photograph of it. Using the photos and the clay work we will then set up an art gallery where the children can view each others work.
