Welcome to Reception's class page
Here you will find key content relating to children in Green Class and Blue Class.
PE sessions:
Green Class- Wednesday
Blue Class- Thursday
Please ensure you remove all earrings before PE sessions and that long hair is tied up. Ensure your child has a named PE kit in a bag consisting of black shorts/ jogging bottoms, a white t-shirt and trainers or plimsolls. Please note that all PE sessions in Reception are indoors so you will not have to provide sweatshirts or a PE kit suitable for outdoors.
Reading books
Please make sure your child has their reading book and reading record in their bag every day. When your child receives a new book write the title of the book in their reading record and sign the reading record every time your child reads with you. If your child has five signatures in their reading record at the end of the week they will receive a sticker on the reading rocket and will get a prize for every ten stickers they earn.
Outdoor Classroom
Please bring in a pair of Wellington boots for your child to wear in the digging area.
Things to practise:
Support your child to put their own coat on and zip it up independently.
Support your child to recognise their own name by putting it up around the house, giving them a named coat peg at home and seeing if they can recognise it from a selection.
Encourage your child to practise writing their name.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
