Welcome to Reception's class page
Here you will find key content relating to children in Green Class and Blue Class.
PE sessions:
Green Class- Wednesday
Blue Class- Thursday
Please ensure your child has their earrings removed before PE sessions and long hair is tied up. Ensure your child has a PE kit in a bag consisting of black shorts/ jogging bottoms, a white t-shirt and trainers or plimsolls. All items must be named. Please note that all PE sessions in Reception are indoors so you will not have to provide sweatshirts or a PE kit suitable for outdoors. We encourage children to be as independent as possible when changing in and out of their PE kit, please practise this at home.
Reading books
Please make sure your child has their reading book and reading record in their bag every day. When your child receives a new book write the title of the book in their reading record and sign and date the reading record every time your child reads with you. If your child has five signatures in their reading record at the end of the week they will receive a sticker on the reading rocket and will get a prize for every ten stickers they earn.
Phonics homework
Your child will receive sounds and/or words to practise at home, please spend 5-10 minutes every day practising. If you need support with this please speak to your child’s teacher.
Outdoor Classroom
Please bring in a pair of Wellington boots for your child to wear in the digging area and a warm coat if the weather is cold.
