Activity 1 - Circletime - Keeping Safe
The focus of these lessons is drugs and keeping safe. In Y5, they looked at a range of legal and illegal drugs. Ask the children to name any drug they can think of, note on a piece of paper under the headings legal and illegal.

Write a card/letter to care home residents. Some care home residents have not had a lot of contact/visits with their friends or loved ones. Discuss how they might be feeling since lockdown and how today you will be writing cards to send to them and put a smile on their faces and to let them know we are thinking of them.

As a discussion, what are the three most commonly used drugs in the UK? In this lesson, the focus will be on cannabis as this is the most commonly used illegal drug. What have you heard about cannabis?
