This term the children will be comparing three different areas of the world. The three areas will be TREWERN (in preparation for their visit in Year 6), PARIS (as a European region, connected to the fact that they are learning to speak French) and QUEBEC (as a North American region which also speaks French). The children will learn to compare these in terms of the geography - by finding where they are in the world, then comparing the human geography (such as how many people live in each place, what language/s they speak there, what tourism is like there) and the physical geography (what rivers, mountains etc, are near). They will find out what is similar about the areas and what is different.
We want the children to know:
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
