Please try some different games at home to ensure your child is on track for Year 3!
Number Bond Addition- Roll two dice and add them up as quickly as you can. You can then try this with subtraction.
Find different ways to make an amount of money- You could set up a shop at home and put different prices on items around the house.
Practising counting on in 2's, 3's 5's and 10 and working on their times tables- Make flash cards and see if your child can improve their accuracy.
Reading numbers to 100- Use a deck of cards and see how many 2 and 3-digit numbers can be made and then challenge your child to read them.
Orally make up word problems and see if your child can solve it. For example- There are 10 pencils in 4 boxes and 2 loose. How many pencils are there altogether?
Practise fractions by looking at 1/2, 1/3, 1/4, 2/4, 3/4 of different fruit or food items around the house.
