Maths
Today's maths lesson is all about measuring capacity. Why and how do we measure capacity? Watch the video to find out more before completing the worksheet.
What’s the same and what’s different about capacity and volume? What does capacity mean? What does volume mean? What do we measure capacity and volume in?
See if you have any items about home that can help you measure capacity. Look at different liquids at home and find out what the capacity and volume is.
Measuring capacity accurately is very important in activities such as cooking!
English
As you know, you won't be able to meet your new teacher like you have in previous years. Today, we would like you to complete one of the booklets below with information about yourself that you could share with your new teacher in September. Try to include as much information as possible!
Handwriting
We would like you to complete the worksheet below which looks at the joins 'er' and 'est'. Practice these joins before filling in the gaps on the table. When you have finished, ask someone else to give you sentences with these words in them.
Topic
You will be inventors today and creating your own new food product. It could be a cake, chocolate bar, yoghurt - whatever you like!
There are some things that we would like you to include/do
Be creative - you want people to remember your product because it is different so that they try it!
Have fun and remember to share your work :)
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
