Today we will be looking at building character descriptions. You will be writing your own story so to begin with you can create your own character. It can be a famous person, someone you know, a person from a time in history or a futuristic character. Use your imagination!
You can always have a go at more than one character.
Please upload your work to the Purple Mash blog when you have finished.
Maths
As a starter, we would like you to have a go at the flashback 4 below. The answers are on the video.
This week we will be focusing on decimals. To begin the week we will be learning about making a whole. We would then like you to watch the video ( https://vimeo.com/403297779) which talks you through making a whole with examples. There is a worksheet for you to complete once you have watched it. You can return to parts of the video at any time to help you if you get stuck on a particular question.
The answers are attached for you to mark your work. If you get something wrong, check over the question and your answers to check you haven't made a silly mistake. If you still aren't sure ask an adult or older sibling if they can help you or post on the purple mash blog if you are still stuck.
Art
Today you will be thinking about our own emotions and how you might be feeling, particularly around lockdown. It is important to talk about your feelings with other people and showing different emotions is ok. We would like you to follow the steps on the powerpoint to help you draw a self-portrait showing your emotions. Be creative and post your final portraits on the purple mash blog. Can't wait to see them all!
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
