In order to support your child to learn to read there are some online resources you can access. Make sure you do some reading activities every day. Here are some websites to try, don't forget to ask you child questions about what they have read to check they have listened to and understood the story. |
Purple Mash |
If you go to the Mini Mash section of Purple Mash and click on the teacher with the book. This will take you to the reading and writing section. There are phonics phase 2 and 3 activities that will support reading. Choose the activity you think is appropriate for your child. |
Oxford Owl |
If you register with the Oxford Owl website you can access free e_books. You can choose the most appropriate from their age range or choose Read, Write Inc. books (if your child took Read Write Inc. reading books home from school check their reading record of you're unsure of their colour band). https://www.oxfordowl.co.uk/for-home/find-a-book/library-page/# |
